Yuku Firefox Extension

The Yuku Firefox extension is a useful tool that enhances your Yuku and web browsing experience. Once you've installed the Yuku Firefox extension you can use it to manage your Yuku account, view and switch profiles, read your inbox messages and profile comments, as well as manage your Yuku friends and favorite links.

Installing the Yuku Firefox Extension

To install the Yuku Firefox Extension: You can install the Yuku Firefox Extension from here: www.yuku.com/ff/

1. Click "install now" - As this is the first time you've installed an extension from this site, your browser should give you an alert about installing software:

2. Click on edit options to add yuku to your list of allowed sites then close that window.

3. Now click the install link a second time to begin the installation.

(If you're familiar with Firefox extensions, you'll know that this is the standard behaviour of installation from any new site on the default settings. If your browser let you download the extension without alerting you, then you should check your settings, as your computer may be at risk. You should always give your permission to the site first.)

4. When you click install, you should see something like this:

Click install to begin.

5. Then you'll need to restart Firefox to load the extension.

You should notice the yuku logo in your status bar (bottom part of your browser) over on the right. Click on it to open the popup menu, and you're away.

If you don't see it after a successful installation, check that you have the status bar enabled under the view menu.

Using the Yuku Firefox Extension

Once you have installed the Yuku Firefox extension and restated your browser, you can use the extension to:

1. Manage your Yuku account, including: view and switch profiles, jump to your Yuku domains, manage your signatures, and modify your account settings
2. Read, compose, and forward inbox messages
3. Approve or deny new friend requests
4. Manage your profile and image comments

To start using the Yuku Firefox Extension:

1. Click on the Yuku logo located in the bottom right corner of your browser

1. Click on 'Options'
2. Select your Yuku account email address from the "Log into my account..." drop down.
3. Click ok.
4. Log into your Yuku account and you will now be automatically logged into the Yuku Firefox extension when you start your browser.

To manage your Yuku account, view and switch your profiles, accept or deny friend requests, etc...

1. Click on the Yuku logo located in the bottom right corner of your browser
2. Use the menu to select the extension option you wish to manage
3. Click on that option

Managing your Favorite Links

To manage your Favorite Links:

1. Click on the Yuku logo located in the bottom right corner of your browser
2. Click on 'Favorite Links'
3. Click on 'Edit'
4. On the Yuku Options page click "links"
5. To manage your links click on the add, edit, or delete button
6. Make the desired changes
7. Click the OK button to save your changes
