Working with Private Messaging
Private messaging in Yuku is much like email. You have an inbox, a sent messages folder, and you can compose messages to other Yuku users. Private messaging currently does not support sending messages to addresses on the internet.
The messaging page is divided into three sections. The menu, On the left side of your messages section you'll find the menu, across the top and right are the topic controls, and in the centre are your messages.

The links will allow you to select or deselect your messages:
- All
- None
- Read
- Unread
- Replied
- Forwarded
- Starred
- Unstarred
The control buttons will affect any message that you have checked from the message list.
- expand - toggle to show the selected messages
- contract - toggle to hide the selected messages
- mark as read - mark message as read
- mark as unread - mark message as unread
- archive - remove message from inbox
- report spam - place messages in your spam folder, and mark sender up as spam
- delete - remove message permanently
Starring messages
To flag a message up you can 'star' it. To star a message, simply click on the grey star, and it will turn red. To unstar, you simply click the red star and it returns to grey.
You can easily view all starred messages by clicking on starred in the messages menu

Search
Search your private messags using keywords
Folders
The first part of the menu gives you direct access to your folders:
*Inbox *Unread *Starred *Sent *Drafts *All Msgs *Spam *Trash
Tags
You can tag your messages, and you can edit the tags on messages sent to you. This allows you to find messages via tags.
Filters
This part of the menu allows you filter your messages according to which of your profiles they were sent to, and to sort them by the following criteria:
* Date Ascending * Date Descending * Subject A-Z * Subject Z-A * Sender Name A-Z * Sender Name Z-A * Receiver Name A-Z * Receiver Name Z-A
You can also search for messages sent from a particular member.
Groups
You can create groups of your friends so that you can message them all at the same time. You could use these to pm all your board moderators at one time, for example.
Settings
Change your settings for each profile here. You can set profile to accept pms from everyone, friends of friends or friends only. You can also set an automated response to tell people that you don't take PMs.
You can also set up auto forwarding for all messages to that profile, to a group that you create.
