Mini Profile Interaction

You can Interact with other Yuku profiles via the Mini Profile Block or by clicking on the Interact Menu located on posts by any member throughout the Yuku system. You can send private messages, forward the profile to a friend, make a friend connection, send an invite, or block a profile.

There are multiple ways to interact with other Yuku profiles via the Mini Profile Block:

1. Message
2. Invite
3. Forward
4. Block
5. Friend (Connect with)

Interact Menu

The Interact Menu appears in the mini profile section of a person's profile, and also as a drop down menu on posts by any person.

The interact menu on a profile allows you to:

• send a message to this person
• add this person as a friend (or remove, if already a friend)
• invite this person to your communities
• forward the profile to others
• block this person
• report this person

The interact menu on posts allows you to:

• send a message to this person
• view this person's recent posts on this board
• add this person as a friend (or remove, if already a friend)
• invite this person to your communities
• block this person
• ignore this person's posts

Message/Message Me

You can send a message via the Message Me button on the Mini Profile Block.

To send a message:

1. Click the Message/Message Me button.
2. Enter the message subject in the Subject text box.
3. Select the profile you want to send the message from with the Send Message As drop down.
4. Use the WYSIWYG editor to compose your message.
5. Click the Send Button.

Invite

You can invite a profile to your domain(s) via the Mini Profile.

To Invite to a profile to your domain:

1. Click on the Invite Button.
2. The Invite Profile screen will open.
3. Select the profile you want to send the invite from the Send Message As drop down.
4. Select the domain(s) you want to invite the profile to.
5. Fill out the Invitation subject.
6. Fill out the Invitation Message.
7. Click the Send button.

Forward

You can forward a Yuku profile to a friend via pm with the Forward button on the Mini Profile Block.

To send a message:

1. Click the Forward button.
2. Enter the user email or profile name you wish to forward the profile to. Note: Separate profile names and email address with a comma.
3. Choose the profile you wish to use to forward the profile from the 'Send Message As' drop down.
4. Verify the code by entering it in the text box.
5. Click the Send Button.

Block/Blocking

The Block Profile button will allow you to block a profile from:

• Messaging you
• Connecting to your profile
• Forwarding your profile

To Block a profile:

1. Click the Block Profile button.
2. Click the Block button.

To Unblock a profile:

1. Click the Block Profile button.
2. Click the Unblock button.

Friend/Connection

You can connect/disconnect friends to your profile via the Mini Profile. A connection will add the profile to your friends list.

To connect to a profile:

1. Click the Connection/Friend button.
2. Click the Connect Us button.

When the user accepts your connection their profile will be automatically added to your friends list.

To disconnect from a profile:

1. Click the Connection/Friend button.
2. Click the Disconnect Us button.

Upon clicking the Disconnect Us button the profile will be automatically removed from your friends list.

Ignore users posts

Selecting this option will mean that you no longer see posts made by that member. This is an admin option however, and some admins may disable this ability on their communities.

Report

If a member has violated the TOU of yuku, you can report them. Use this button to send a message to yuku. You will need to select the reason for the report and give reasons for reporting them.
